As a little reward to myself for hard work of late, and in celebration of some good news that I received today, I decided to take a small break this Saturday (May 12) and go to the movies, and perhaps have a light meal and a drink afterward before getting back to Anthrocon preparations.
Anyone who'd like to join is welcome to tag along. Here's what I had in mind:
28 Weeks Later at the United Artists East Whiteland Stadium 9 (not in King of Prussia -- too loud and crowdy for me), 593 West Lancaster Ave., in Frazer (right beside Malvern). The movie starts at 1:50. I'll probably be there around 1:20 or so because I like to be early, and will hang around outside until 1:45 to see if anyone wants to join. After 1:45, you're on your own!
Afterward, a spot of dinner at the Flying Pig Pub at the corner of Bridge St. and King Rd. in Malvern Borough. Since I never drink wine that I pay for, I will just stare forlornly at my empty glass. Anyone else is welcome to have an aperatif, though. Afterward, I'll need to get back home to work on some more things.
DIRECTIONS: Easy. From Route 202, take Route 30 east toward Frazer. The theater is on the left a half-mile down the road.
I'm happy to give you a lift if you want to arrive by rail at the Malvern Station, but you will need to let me know you're coming (email me at flogistn(at) bellatlantic.net, and make sure you get an acknowledgement from me!). I will only be able to swing by the pick up people who arrive on train #1550 from Thorndale at 1:15, or on train #8529 from Center City (arriving at 1:18). I'll be busy all morning and won't be able to make a bunch of earlier trips.
No RSVP needed, unless you're coming by train. This is a very informal gathering of whoever happens to show up.
